Eliyahu & Shayna Sapo
Shayna moved to the UWS when she was 11 years old, when her parents took on the role as the Chabad West Side programming coordinators. From Hebrew School to Street Fairs, to Gan Izzy in the City and Chanukah On Ice, the Alevskys created engaging programming and connected thousands of Jewish families with their Judaism.
Eliyahu hails from a different West Side - Southern California. Having grown up in a Chabad House setting, and having spent his summers working with teenagers, Eliyahu is able to relate to everyone at their own level.
In 2019 Eliyahu & Shayna founded Cteen UWS, a Jewish teen network part of Chabad of the West Side.
Following the Alevsky's move to Ohio in 2024, they took over the Hebrew School and Family Programming.
The Sapos live on the West Side with their three children and are passionate about connecting with Jewish families and cultivating a warm & welcoming community.
