About Us
How it started: The Alevskys
Chabad Family Programs was started by Rabbi Chayim and Sarah Alevsky, under the leadership of Rabbi Shlomo Kugel. Shayna and Eliyahu, their daughter & son-in-law, took over after they recently relocated to Cleveland, OH for family matters.
They are lucky to be constantly guided by and learning from the Alevskys.
How it's going: The Sapos
While Shayna grew up on the UWS, Eliyahu hails from a different West Side (Coast) - Southern California. They moved here focusing on Cteen UWS, a Jewish teen network. In 2024 they took over the Hebrew School and Family Programming. The Sapos live on the West Side with their three children: Mendel, Zalman, and Mushka.
